The International Conference of the Asian Institute of Low Carbon Design (AILCD 2026) will be held from February 27 to March 1, 2026, in Kitakyushu, Japan. The conference aims to bring together researchers, designers, engineers, planners, and policymakers to explore the future of low-carbon cities and sustainable lifestyles through the integration of design, technology, and urban innovation.

Under the theme “1925: Art Deco + 2025: AI Deco = 2125: A? Deco — Shaping the Next Age of Beauty, Technology and Urban Life,” the conference reflects on the historical legacy of Art Deco as a symbol of technological optimism, reinterprets contemporary AI-driven design paradigms, and envisions new forms of urban life and aesthetics for the next century. AILCD 2026 provides an interdisciplinary platform for discussing low-carbon architecture, intelligent technologies, urban sustainability, and the evolving relationship between beauty, functionality, and society. Hosted in Kitakyushu, a leading environmental future city, the conference seeks to foster international collaboration and contribute to shaping resilient and sustainable urban futures.
